Tools the agency is using...

The project's primary structure and training has been based on the work of Dr. Lynn Erikson. Dr. Erikson's work Concept-based Curriculum and Instruction for the Thinking Classroom. Several templates have been designed by the Social Studies project manager for teachers to use in the systematic development of the curriculum around the framework of Concept Based Curriculum and Instruction.

-Use as a step by step guide on where to begin and each sequential step afterwards.
-Use to help you find social studies concepts without trying to event new ones.
-This is for team use at the pilot high schools. Use to document the unit titles and conceptual lenses that your school would like to develop units.
-Use this as a framework to organize the flow of your unit on paper or in a word processing document. This is where you will write the curriculum information for your unit from the beginning title to the very end when you list your resources.
